Aerial Photography

Pickett's aerial photography capabilities include both fixed-wing and rotary aircraft, allowing us to leverage the unique strengths of both platforms and support a variety of mapping applications. Our Leica RC-30 film camera with gyro-stabilized mount and forward motion compensation delivers superior image quality from either platform.

Utilizing a MD 500 helicopter in the acquisition of  Low Altitude Photography, Pickett can achieve negative scales of 1:360 to support mapping assignments for the most demanding applications. Increased maneuverability also makes this platform the ideal solution for corridor projects.

Our turbocharged Cessna 210 aerial mapping aircraft allows for the efficient collection of imagery over larger project areas and can effectively service the Southeastern US. Equipped with Airborne GPS and mission management systems, the 210 has proven an extremely reliable platform for the consistent acquisition of quality imagery products.
